Frisco
Updated: 5 days ago
Frisco and Plano are practically sisters to me — I grew up visiting both back when they were quiet, mostly residential towns you drove through. Watching Frisco evolve into one of the most talked-about suburbs in the country has been genuinely fun to witness, and it's a big part of why I enjoy working with buyers who are discovering the area today. Frisco is home to major employers, including the PGA of America national headquarters, and sports and entertainment destinations such as The Star. The PGA of America's national headquarters and The Star, home to the Dallas Cowboys' headquarters and practice facility, have helped transform Frisco from "the suburb past Plano" into a destination of its own, while continued investment is setting the stage for its next chapter. Fields West, an $800 million, 55-acre development along the Dallas North Tollway, is already under construction and will bring DFW's first Mastro's Steakhouse, Texas' first Bloomie's, along with Crate & Barrel, Sephora, Alo Yoga, Arhaus, and Williams Sonoma, with the first phase expected to open in late 2027 into 2028. With roughly 70% of the retail pre-leased before opening, the project reflects the continued confidence major brands have in Frisco's growth, although future appreciation is never guaranteed. The housing market has historically favored sellers and home prices have generally been in the $700,000s, but growing inventory has created a more balanced environment and more negotiating room for buyers than in previous years. Because pricing can vary considerably by neighborhood and new construction, I prefer to provide a live market comparison for the specific area you're considering rather than rely on a citywide number that may quickly become outdated. Frisco ISD serves much of the city. Confirm school zoning for each property, since boundaries can change. Overall, Frisco tends to fit buyers relocating for work and buyers who want sports, entertainment, dining, and ongoing development nearby — especially buyers interested in established neighborhoods as well as areas positioned near major growth projects like Fields West.
